Volleyball Recap: Beachside's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

Beachside lost against Chiles back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Barracudas fell 3-1 to the Timberwolves. The loss put an end to the Barracudas' undefeated start to the season.

While Beachside had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20.

Erica Duffy paced Beachside's offense, picking up 13 kills. Duffy really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 21. Mollie VanDeusen controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Chiles had a senior duo take command as Madison Joyner had 18 digs and seven assists and Natalie Gibson had 25 assists and eight digs. Gibson has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 18 times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Beachside fell to 3-1. As for Chiles, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Beachside will welcome New Smyrna Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chiles, they will head out to square off against Leon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
