Preview: North Mesquite Stallions vs. Seagoville Dragons

North Mesquite is 3-0 against Seagoville since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Mesquite Stallions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seagoville Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, things could have been worse for North Mesquite, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-46 loss to Poteet.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jeremiah Grigsby, who scored 21 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Barnett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Seagoville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Samuell 69-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), Seagoville still had to take the loss.

Like Seagoville, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Adam West led the charge by scoring 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points West has scored all season. Gregory Fossett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.

North Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Seagoville, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-10.

North Mesquite skirted past Seagoville 63-60 when the teams last played back in January. Will North Mesquite repeat their success, or does Seagoville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
