Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Trojans vs. Momence Momence Athletics
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans walked away with it. They beat Momence on Saturday by the very same score they won with last week: 42-6. Considering Maroa-Forsyth has won eight matchups by more than 28 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Maroa-Forsyth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaiden Maurer, who threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns. Andre Harden also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The victory for Maroa-Forsyth keeps them at an undefeated 11-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.82 points. As for Momence, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Maroa-Forsyth will face off against Bloomington Central Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomington Central Catholic will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Momence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
