Basketball Recap: Geneva Takes a Loss

Geneva lost against St. Charles North back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the Geneva Vikings and the St. Charles North North Stars didn't end well, with the Geneva Vikings falling 48-32. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the North Stars are ranked 49th).

Geneva has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for St. Charles North, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.

Coming up, Geneva will head out to square off against Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva is facing Sycamore at the right time seeing as Sycamore is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for St. Charles North, they will welcome Proviso West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles North will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Proviso West will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
