Recap: Lumberton Panthers vs. Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack
The Lumberton Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 55-31 defeat at the hands of Woodlawn Prep. Lumberton lost against Woodlawn Prep in their previous head to head last Tuesday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-45 score last time.
Cole Sinclair was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points for Woodlawn Prep. The matchup was Sinclair's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Braylon Reed was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Woodlawn Prep, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lumberton will challenge Perry Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salem is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
