Coveted five-star offensive tackle Trey Smith commits to Tennessee

Highly touted five-star offensive lineman Trey Smith of University School of Jackson (Tenn.) will be suiting up for Tennessee at the next level.

The nation's No. 5 offensive tackle chose Tennessee over Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Ole Miss, among others.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound senior protected a quarterback that threw for 3,752 yards and 33 touchdowns in reaching the Tennessee Division II Class A state semifinals this season.



Smith is rated the country's 25th-best recruit by 247Sports and is a major pickup for the Volunteers.
