Baseball Recap: Las Cruces Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Las Cruces can now relate to. They fell 7-3 to the La Cueva Bears on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldawgs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Las Cruces saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Rojas, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Las Cruces' loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for La Cueva, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Las Cruces does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for La Cueva, they will take on Los Lunas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
