Volleyball Recap: Olivia Royal's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wylie over Plano

Wylie lost against Plano back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Wylie's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Royal, who had 11 assists and six digs. Another player making a difference was Berkeley Weidinger, who had nine digs and eight assists.

Wylie now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Plano, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Wylie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Lakeview Centennial on the 26th. As for Plano, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against McKinney on the 26th.
