Volleyball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Takes a Loss

Mishawaka Marian was the 2-0 winner over Northridge when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Raiders on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elle Boser paced Mishawaka Marian's offense, picking up seven kills. Boser got some help from Bri Lundy and her 13 assists.

Northridge was led to victory by Molly Nickell and Izzy Melvin. Nickell had ten digs, while Melvin had six digs and two aces. Nickell has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Mishawaka Marian's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Northridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

Mishawaka Marian has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Portage on the 13th. As for Northridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Carroll on the 13th.
