Baseball Game Preview: Elsinore Tigers vs. Tahquitz Titans

For the first time this season, Elsinore will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They will head out to challenge the Tahquitz Titans at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Elsinore 3.4, Tahquitz 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Elsinore is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Mission Vista on Monday. Elsinore walked away with a 6-1 win over Mission Vista.

Andrew Jimenez was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Tahquitz put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against West Valley as Tahquitz made off with a 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tahquitz's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Elsinore, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Elsinore couldn't quite finish off Tahquitz in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 and fell 3-1. Can Elsinore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
