Volleyball Game Preview: Colorado Academy Mustangs vs. Columbine Rebels

The Colorado Academy Mustangs will face off against the Columbine Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Colorado Academy is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since August 29th on Thursday. They came up short against The Classical Academy, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Mustangs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Columbine, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Dakota Ridge on Tuesday.

Columbine didn't let Dakota Ridge take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Colorado Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Columbine, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
