Football Recap: Corona del Sol Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Corona del Sol fell victim to ALA - Queen Creek and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Patriots 31-0. The contest was a close 3-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Aztecs it sure didn't stay that way.

Luke Farrell threw for 162 yards on 17 of 39 attempts. Marques Fuentes was his top target, picking up 98 receiving yards. On the ground, Cortez Young rushed for 52 yards.

Bobby Nesbit produced another solid performance rushing for 177 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries for ALA - Queen Creek. With that strong performance, Nesbit is now averaging an impressive 102.7 rushing yards per game. Britton Dewitt was another key player, throwing for 147 yards and three TDs.

Corona del Sol has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Corona del Sol wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 40-31 defeat against Desert Vista on the 7th. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-21 victory against Casteel on the 7th.
