Football Recap: Merritt Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Merritt Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Byron Eagles, falling 54-14.

Despite the loss, Merritt Academy still got an impressive performance from Ethan Wolfe, who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only nine carries. Wolfe got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards.

Merritt Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Byron, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Merritt Academy has already played their next contest, a 36-30 win against Carsonville-Port Sanilac on the 10th. As for Byron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 53-14 defeat against Morrice on the 10th.
