Football Recap: Sangre De Cristo Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Sangre de Cristo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Holly Wildcats 36-14. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 62-48 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Sangre de Cristo is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Las Animas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holly, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on September 6.
