There's no place like home for Bonita Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Fort Myers Green Wave on Tuesday. That looming 5-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bullsharks yet this season.

Derek Hernandez Jr was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Jose Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Bonita Springs' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Fort Myers, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Bonita Springs is taking a road trip to square off against Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Myers, they will be playing at home against LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Myers is facing LaBelle at the right time seeing as LaBelle is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
