The Coventry Comets will head out to square off against the Hubbard Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coventry will be strutting in after a win while Hubbard will be coming in after a loss.
Coventry came out on top against Alliance on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Comets blew past the Aviators 11-1. Considering the Comets have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Addisyn Hahn looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Burkhart and Gwen Seiler did most of the damage at the plate: Burkhart went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Seiler went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave Seiler a new career-high. Scarlet Dineff was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Hubbard fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against LaBrae on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 9-6 to the Vikings.
Layla Songer and Haleigh Taylor did some serious damage despite the final result: Songer went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Taylor went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run.
Coventry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Hubbard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Coventry hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Hubbard struggles in that department as they've averaged .425. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
