Basketball Game Preview: Browne Bruins vs. South Mountain Jaguars

The Browne Bruins and the South Mountain Jaguars will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.

On Thursday, Browne took a blow against Cesar Chavez, falling 93-6. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Champions recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, South Mountain was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Camelback 63-25. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

South Mountain pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game. As for Browne, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Browne was dealt a bruising 73-10 defeat at the hands of South Mountain when the teams last played back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Browne was down 41-6.
