Volleyball Recap: Oakmont Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Marysville last Thursday, Oakmont came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Colfax Falcons on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Oakmont couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 28-26, 28-26, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Alli Harvey and Amira Langston, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Elisabel Lumley Garcia and her 14 assists. Harvey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oakmont's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Colfax, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Oakmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bear River on the 23rd. Colfax has also already played their next matchup (against Marysville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
