Softball Recap: Greensburg Gets the Win

While Greensburg's win against South Dearborn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Knights 7-5. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Harper Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.

Greensburg's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for South Dearborn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Greensburg has already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against Connersville on the 24th. As for South Dearborn, they will face off against Batesville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
