Basketball Game Preview: Wagener-Salley War Eagles vs. Horse Creek Academy Stallions

Wagener-Salley is on a three-game streak of home losses, Horse Creek Academy a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Wagener-Salley War Eagles will welcome the Horse Creek Academy Stallions at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Wagener-Salley came up short against Ridge Spring-Monetta and fell 43-36.

Meanwhile, Horse Creek Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Augusta Prep Day on Saturday and fell 58-55.

Wagener-Salley will need focus on slowing down Kingston Hightower, one of several Horse Creek Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Walls, who scored 14 points.

Horse Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Wagener-Salley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Wagener-Salley skirted past Horse Creek Academy 68-66 when the teams last played back in January. Will Wagener-Salley repeat their success, or does Horse Creek Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
