Twin Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Berks Catholic Saints 3-1. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered an 8-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Twin Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Lord, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twin Valley will square off against Ephrata at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ephrata will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Twin Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Berks Catholic, they will face off against Conrad Weiser at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
