Baseball Recap: Dixie County Comes Up Short

Dixie County and Trenton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dixie County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 19-3. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Dixie County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Cobb, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Dixie County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Trenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Dixie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trenton, they will take on Chiefland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
