Humble Christian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Banff Bears 61-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted since November 21, 2024.

Banff's loss came despite strong showings from Issac Sumpter and Vinnie Chu. Sumpter almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, while Chu almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Sumpter has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played.

With the win, Humble Christian broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Banff, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Humble Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against School of the Woods at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Banff, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-71 loss against Shady Acres Christian on the 30th.
