Recap: Beaver Bobcats vs. Hopewell Vikings
The Beaver Bobcats's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They really took it to Hopewell for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-41 win at home. The victory was just what Beaver needed coming off of a 88-38 loss in their prior game.
It was another big night for Brady Mayo, who scored 30 points along with four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Beaver's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Butler, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Beaver's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Hopewell, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Beaver will head out on the road to challenge Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Central Valley is ranked 260th, while Beaver is ranked 261st). As for Hopewell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ambridge at 7:30 p.m.
