Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Victory Christian Academy lost against Calumet Christian last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Patriots.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Bella Herrold paced Victory Christian Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Herrold got some help from Ava Buckland and her nine assists.

Calumet Christian was led to victory by Alexa Rentas and Bria Powell. Rentas had ten digs and three aces, while Powell had nine assists and three digs. That's the most aces Rentas has posted since back in September.

Victory Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record this season. As for Calumet Christian, they pushed their record up to 30-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Victory Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Tournament Opponent on the 17th. As for Calumet Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Families of Faith Christian Academy on the 17th.
