Basketball Recap: Windermere Prep Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

There's no place like home for Windermere Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the South Lake Eagles, posting a 65-12 victory. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Eagles are ranked 254th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Windermere Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leah True led the charge by putting up 15 points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave True a new career-high in assists (two). Yifan Zhou also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Windermere Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for South Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
