Football Game Preview: Gulf Buccaneers vs. Clearwater Tornadoes

The Gulf Buccaneers will challenge the Clearwater Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Gulf's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Monday. They blew past Anclote, posting a 34-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won six contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

Gulf didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Breeniyah Hall picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. She is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clearwater walked away with it. They blew past the Falcons 39-6 on Monday. The Tornadoes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The victory snapped Clearwater's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-9 record. As for Gulf, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
