Baseball Recap: Oklahoma City Broncos Homeschool's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lighthouse Christian, Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool Jaguars with a sharp 13-4 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Broncos as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Christopher Scarbrough made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise. Scarbrough was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolby Brown, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jacob Sims was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win got Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool back to even at 5-5-1. As for Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool and Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool (ranked 98th) will meet San Antonio HomeSchool (ranked 779th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool will face off against Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday up 584 places (129 vs. 713).
