Soccer Recap: Episcopal of Acadiana Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Episcopal of Acadiana can now relate to. They lost 6-1 to the Newman Greenies on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Greenies are ranked fifth).

Episcopal of Acadiana's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Newman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0-1.

Episcopal of Acadiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newman, they will square off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Newman knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Calvary Baptist Academy likes a good challenge.
