Football Recap: Maine East Takes a Loss

Maine East managed to slip by Round Lake the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Demons were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of the Panthers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Demons have suffered against the Panthers since August 31, 2018.

Maine East dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Round Lake, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Maine East will host Wheeling at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Round Lake, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Grayslake North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
