Basketball Recap: Broad Run Piles Up the Points Against Rock Ridge

Broad Run posted their biggest victory since February 14, 2024 on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 60-31 win over the Rock Ridge Phoenix. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Phoenix are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Broad Run's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Rock Ridge, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Loudoun Valley the next time they take the court. Rock Ridge will head out to face Loudoun Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Broad Run will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
