Softball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones fell victim to Ocoee and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Knights. The Fightin' Tigers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Jones saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasha Morris, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That hit marked the first that Morris has got this season.

Jones' record is now 3-10. As for Ocoee, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones will face off against Lake Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fightin' Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vipers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Ocoee, they will take on Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
