Tidehaven is a perfect 10-0 against Palacios since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will welcome the Sharks at 5:30 p.m. Tidehaven is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
If Tidehaven beats Palacios with 13 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Tigers never let Rice Consolidated get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won nine in a row.
Lacie Perez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kailea Freeman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Addison Duckett was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Tidehaven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Palacios, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Edna 8-7.
Like Tidehaven, Palacios also got a great game from a two-way player: Jahana Starrett. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. Starrett was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Critendon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Alexandria Elizondo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Tidehaven's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Palacios, their win bumped their record up to 3-9-2.
Palacios' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tidehaven hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. It's a different story for Palacios, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Tidehaven's hitters?
