Baseball Recap: Holbrook Takes a Loss

Holbrook's tournament run continued when they took on Hayden on Friday. The Holbrook Roadrunners took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayden Lobos. The Roadrunners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matthias Montijo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Baler Reidhead was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Holbrook now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hayden, the victory (which was their 15th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Holbrook will square off against Ganado at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayden, they will challenge Superior at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
