Softball Recap: West Blocton Gets the Win

West Blocton posted their closest victory since March 11th on Friday. They skirted past the West Morgan Rebels 6-4.

The team relied heavily on Mafynli Kidd, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Crimson Calhoun was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

West Blocton's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for West Morgan, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16-1.

West Blocton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-2 victory against Demopolis on the 5th. As for West Morgan, they have also already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Jackson on the 5th.
