Baseball Recap: Wickliffe Find Success

The Wickliffe Blue Devils earned a 10-7 win over the Pymatuning Valley Lakers on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Wickliffe got a big performance out of Frankie Bucar, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The Blue Devils are undefeated when Bucar posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Blake Ludvik, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Wickliffe's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Pymatuning Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-7 record this season.

Wickliffe will host Chagrin Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pymatuning Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
