After a string of five wins dating back to last season, Mount Vernon's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Lynden Christian Lyncs 57-26. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Vernon fell to 3-1. As for Lynden Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Mount Vernon will square off against Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lynden Christian, they will challenge Sedro-Woolley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sedro-Woolley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lynden Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
