Football Recap: North Crawford Starts Season with Victory on the Road

North Crawford had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over Wonewoc-Center/Weston. With the Trojans ahead 36-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Crawford's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Gavin Tamling was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

North Crawford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 86-6 win against Montello on the 28th. As for Wonewoc-Center/Weston, they are taking a road trip to challenge Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
