Basketball Recap: East Side Community's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Wadleigh last Monday, East Side Community came back down to earth. East Side Community lost to Collaborative Education at home by a 44-30 margin on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as East Side Community came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Collaborative Education is ranked 321st).

With the defeat, East Side Community broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Collaborative Education, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Side Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manhattan Village Academy at 4:15 p.m. on January 30th. East Side Community is facing Manhattan Village Academy at the right time seeing as Manhattan Village Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Collaborative Education will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against School of the Future at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th. School of the Future will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Collaborative Education surely won't give up without a fight.
