Football Recap: Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders vs. Mynderse Academy Blue Devils
Palmyra-Macedon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils on the road to the tune of 45-6 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Red Raiders sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row dating back to last season.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Camron Quick and his top target Trey Porpora. Quick threw for 281 yards and six touchdowns on only 16 passes while Porpora picked up 160 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Porpora's longest reception was for an incredible 84 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (93 yards to be exact) also went to Brady Leo, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Palmyra-Macedon will welcome Edison Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmyra-Macedon will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. As for Mynderse Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against South Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
