Volleyball Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Richland Rams
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Corry had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Richland Rams , sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Beavers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Corry had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23, 15-13.
Despite the loss, Richland still got an impressive performance from Casey Yost, who had 34 digs.
Corry is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 24 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-3-2 record this season. As for Richland, they moved to 26-6-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
