Baseball Recap: Atascadero Comes Up Short

Atascadero was the 6-2 winner over San Luis Obispo when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Evan Churchill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Atascadero's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for San Luis Obispo, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

While Atascadero had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
