Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Wilsonville's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wilsonville walked away with it. They snuck past the Springfield Millers with a 62-56 victory on Saturday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 67-27 win the Millers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Wilsonville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabi Moultrie, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine assists. Moultrie is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Counts, who posted 18 points and six rebounds.

Wilsonville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. Springfield's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-9.

As of now, neither Wilsonville nor Springfield have any future games scheduled.
