Softball Recap: Wolfe County Wolves vs. Bell County Bobcats
Wolfe County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bell County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 6-3 to the Bobcats. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Harper Holbrook spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Wolfe County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabel Oliver, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Gracie Brown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
