West Perry and Northern York are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Polar Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Perry is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

West Perry fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Greencastle-Antrim on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Northern York unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Shippensburg by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Polar Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Collin McDonald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northern York saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryland Yinger, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

West Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Northern York, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

West Perry skirted past Northern York 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Polar Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
