Baseball Recap: Kennedy Triumphs

Kennedy won the last time they faced Delano and things went their way on Thursday too. The Thunderbirds walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Nathaniel Elizando, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Kennedy is undefeated when Elizando posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-8 otherwise.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Delano, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on May 5. As for Delano, they will challenge Shafter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
