Volleyball Recap: Star Valley Braves vs. East Thunderbirds
Star Valley and East squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Star Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the East Thunderbirds by a score of 3-2. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Star Valley actually scored more points across those five sets (103-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 11-25, 21-25, 15-13.
Shaylah Frazier paced Star Valley's offense, picking up 21 kills. Frazier got some help from
Hallie Hokanson and her 40 assists.
Peyton Hokanson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Star Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-23. As for East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-18 record this season.
Star Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Sheridan on the 9th.
