Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lake Worth Christian

Lake Worth Christian won the last time they faced Boynton Beach, and Landen Harwood did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Worth Christian Defenders came out on top against the Boynton Beach Tigers by a score of 74-65 on Tuesday thanks in part to Harwood, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lake Worth Christian's points.

Another player making a difference was Chase Troncale, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. He has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marvis Permenter, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 22 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Everett, who went 8 for 14 en route to 17 points.

The win (which was Lake Worth Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 13-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for Boynton Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Lake Worth Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-31 victory against Glades Day on the 30th. Boynton Beach has also already played their next contest, a 79-33 win against Seminole Ridge on the 29th.
