Basketball Recap: Nottoway Comes Up Short

Nottoway lost to Buckingham back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars were dealt a 51-10 defeat at the hands of the Knights. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Jayden Banks, Katherine Gravely, and Cambria Ashford posted two points each. Olivia Allen held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Nottoway's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Buckingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Nottoway will take on Lunenburg Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buckingham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-15 defeat against Prince Edward County on the 8th.
