Skyline and Kettle Run squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Skyline had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 35-14. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Zayden Burks, who rushed for 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Burks really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

Kettle Run's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 104 yards and two scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns Taylor has posted since back in September. Carter Lubbe also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Kettle Run, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kettle Run, they will be playing at home against Liberty Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
